Militants Escape after a Brief Encounter in Parigam, Pulwama

Militants including a top commander managed to escape from the gunfight at Parigam village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

It is pertinent to mention that the encounter took place when a joint team of Police, army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

When the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

Till the last reports came in search operation was going on.
