Sopore 04 Aug : The body of a minor boy, who had drowned in the Pohru Nallah at Wadoora in north Kashmir’s Sopore area, was recovered on Tuesday after a three-day-long search operation, officials said.
An official said that the body was recovered from the Nawpora area of Sopore following an extensive search operation carried out by teams of the Sopore Police, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), MARCOS and the Army.
He said the boy had gone missing after drowning in the Pohru Nallah at Wadoora, triggering a rescue and search operation that continued for three days.
The deceased was identified as Furqan Rafiq Hajam.
The official said the body has been shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and will be handed over to the family after completion of the legal procedures.
