NC leads in Budgam by-election

In the first round of counting, the National Conference (NC) has taken a lead of 624 votes over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to details available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), NC’s Aga Syed Mehmood has secured 1,152 votes, while PDP’s Muntazir Mehdi has polled 528 votes.

An AIP-backed candidate, Nazir Ahmad Khan, is close behind the PDP candidate with 508 votes, while independent candidate Jibran Dar has secured 208 votes—(KNO)
