Expresses solidarity with his family, demands swift justice
Srinagar | Tuesday, 27 June 2017: National Conference Working President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Tuesday visited the residence of slain DySP Muhammad Ayub Pandith at Nowpora, Khanyar and expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family. Paying glowing tributes to Late DySP Pandith, Omar Abdullah said the heinous crime was an onslaught against the basic tenets of humanity and Kashmiriyat and needs to be condemned unequivocally and unconditionally by every conscientious person. The NC Working President was accompanied by NC Provincial President and Former MoS Home, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani. NC General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar also visited the family and expressed his solidarity with them while praying for peace to the departed soul.
Mr. Omar Abdullah offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed for patience and strength for the family to bear this inconsolable and irreparable loss. He said he stood in solidarity with the family and would eagerly await swift action that would bring the perpetrators to book.
The NC Working President had earlier announced a donation of Rupees Ten Lakhs to the Police Welfare Fund and a diversion of one-month’s salary as legislators to the fund as a contribution for the families of such brave martyrs of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
