In a bid to empower rural youth with sustainable agricultural practices, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora successfully concluded a one-week skill training program on vermicomposting.

The training aimed to educate and train young individuals from rural areas on the techniques and benefits of vermicomposting, fostering entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability.Throughout the week-long program, participants were immersed in theoretical sessions supplemented by practical demonstrations. They were introduced to the principles of vermicomposting, including the selection of appropriate earthworm species, maintenance of optimal environmental conditions, and the management of organic waste materials.Dr. Tariq Sultan, Programme Coordinator KVK Bandipora-1, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the training program, emphasizing its role in equipping rural youth with practical skills that can enhance their livelihoods while contributing positively to the environment.
