PDP Delegation Visits Fire-Affected Families in Chinkara Mohallah, Habba Kadal

 Srinagar, Feb 11 : A delegation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), acting on the directives of Party President Mehbooba Mufti, visited Chinkara Mohallah in Habba Kadal on Wednesday. The area suffered a devastating fire that gutted eight residential houses.

Party in a statement issued to KNS said, The delegation, led by Abdul Qayoom Bhat, included senior party members Iqbal Tramboo, Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Arif Laigroo, Sara Naima, and representatives from the PDP’s Habba Kadal Zone Committee.

During the visit, the PDP leaders met with the affected families, expressed their solidarity, and assured them of all possible support. Among the damaged properties was the home of a Kashmiri Pandit family, underscoring the communal nature of the tragedy and the shared suffering of all residents.

The delegation emphasized that the PDP stands with every affected family, regardless of religious or social background.

Addressing the media, the delegation urged the district administration to provide immediate relief and adequate compensation to the victims. This support, they stressed, is crucial for enabling the families to rebuild their homes and restore their lives at the earliest. The leaders also appealed for comprehensive rehabilitation measures and timely assistance to mitigate further hardship.

The PDP leadership reiterated its commitment to standing with the people in times of distress and pledged to raise their concerns at every appropriate forum.
