Police arrested nine drug suppliers in Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 22  2018

Police Thursday arrested nine people involved in contraband drugs in district Bandipora.

The nine drug traffickers involved in three separate cases were identified as Bilal Ahmed Bhat of Botengo, Sopore, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan of Botengo, Sopore,

Khursheed Ahmed Khan of Panzigam Bandipora, Waheed Ahmed Ganai of Hajin, Suhail Ahmed Rather of Saderkoot, Farhat Bashir Baba, Sadam Hussian Shah of Kalosa, Rayees Ahmed Bhat of Aloosa and Tahir Rashid Matta of Ashtengoo Bandipora.

The arrests were made by Special Team of Jammu Kashmir Police which was led by Dy SP Mir Murtaza and Inspector Sayed Ghazanfer.

SSP Bandipora, who is heading anti-drug operation, termed the arrest a “success”.

He said that crackdown against the drug suppliers will continue.

Three separate cases under FIR Nos 25/2018, 26/2018 and 28/2018 under NDPS act stand registered against the arrested persons.
