Srinagar, 15 July : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar Monday asserted that the negligent attitude of the administration has left the people of Srinagar longing for basic facilities.

In a statement released from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Sagar said that the divisional administration has failed miserably in meeting the basic needs of the people.

“There is a lack of accountability on the ground, and vital projects initiated during the NC-led government are now in limbo.

Not a single penny is being spent on upgrading power, water infrastructure in the Shaher e Khas areas. Srinagar has historically lagged behind in development whenever the NC has not been in power. We understand the development needs of the city, which is the face of J&K, but successive governments have failed to meet the demands of this historical city. However, when in power, our party will present a comprehensive plan for the all-round development of the city and its people,” he added.
