Poem -17 (April 2025)
A Note to my Younger Self
By Lily Swarn

I think I would like to admonish my 28 year old self
For not letting her parents know how much she loved them
They would have waited to hear her say it With failing vision ,hearing loss and frail bodies
They look sad and lonely as the silence throttles them
A word , a gesture, a hug would have worked wonders
I would also tell her the meaning of diplomacy
Bitter Bare truth is truly hurtful
