The Travel Agents Association of India – Jammu & Kashmir Chapter strongly condemns the cowardly and heinous attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, which has tragically resulted in the death of many tourists and injuries to several others.
This despicable act of violence is not only unacceptable but also a direct affront to the ethos of Kashmiri culture — a culture deeply rooted in peace, warmth, and hospitality. Kashmir has always opened its heart to guests from across the world, and such incidents go against everything our society stands for.
Tourists are not mere visitors; they become part of our shared journey, our community, and our collective spirit. Any harm inflicted upon them is an attack on the values that define us as a people.
The entire travel and tourism fraternity of Kashmir stands in full solidarity with the deceased tourist’s family, the injured tourists, and all those affected by this tragedy. We offer our heartfelt condolences and prayers for strength, healing, and a swift recovery.
While we condemn this senseless act in the strongest possible terms, we also urge the public to remain united and to counter violence with compassion, fear with courage, and despair with hope. Let us come together to reaffirm that Kashmir remains — and will always remain — a land of peace, resilience, and unmatched hospitality.
