Jammu, Apr 01: Shreya Singhal, IAS, on Tuesday assumed the charge as Director Information, Jammu and Kashmir. After taking over, the Director held an introductory meeting with senior officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR). She called for transparent, timely, and people-centric dissemination

of information, and highlighted the role of the Information Department as a vital bridge between the government and citizens. “Effective communication remains essential for promoting awareness about developmental initiatives and welfare programmes of the government,” she said. Shreya Singhal reiterated her commitment to modernising communication strategies by integrating digital

platforms, enhancing media coordination, and encouraging constructive engagement with stakeholders. Joint Director Information (Headquarters), Dr Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Joint Director Information Jammu, Deepak Dubey; Deputy Director Information (PR & AV), Javid Ahmad Rather; and other senior officers and officials of DIPR were present on the occasion.
