SRINAGAR 18 May : A fresh spell of scattered rain and thundershowers is expected to affect parts of Jammu and Kashmir later tonight and continue into Tuesday, with relatively higher intensity likely over the Kashmir region.

According to Kashmir Weather, the weather activity is expected to stay scattered, with no indication of a prolonged or widespread spell of rainfall across the Union Territory.

A further shift in conditions is likely between Thursday and Saturday as a fresh Western Disturbance influences the region, bringing intermittent thundershowers and rain. However, no sustained or continuous rainfall is forecast during this period.

Although the upcoming weather may offer some relief from rising temperatures, daytime readings in Kashmir are expected to remain above seasonal averages over the next three days.

Meanwhile, the Jammu plains are likely to experience a rise of around 2–4°C in maximum temperatures, with a chance of a thundershower developing around Thursday evening or night.
