Security forces on Friday detected and defused two suspected box-type Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. He said during a joint search operation by the Army and the police, two small boxes were found in Bhata Durian Forest.
He said that these boxes were suspected to be IEDs and they were destroyed in-situ. This is the third instance of IED detection by soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir since Thursday.
An Army patrol on Thursday detected and defused an IED mounted on a tree branch in the forest area of Savalkot of Ratangir Ridge and later defused it. Earlier, security forces defused an IED in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
