Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Saif U Din Soz on Tuesday said Like many people, I feel great anxiety in my mind that a number of Kashmiri labourers, Students, traders and patients are stranded in Himachal Pradesh and elsewhere in the country.

Soz said today, I received frantic calls from labour leaders Fayaz Ahmad Mir (7006478596) and Mohammad Shafi (7889709496) from Kanga Himachal Pradesh, who sought my help to get them back to their homes in Kupwara and elsewhere in Kashmir.

In this connection, I wrote a strong letter to Girish Chandra Murmu Lt. Governor of J&K UT and pleaded with him strongly that the State Administration should take all necessary measures to ensure the safe return of labourers, students, traders and patients stranded in Himachal Pradesh back to their homes in Kupwara and other districts.

I brought to the notice of the Administration that about 300 labourers and traders and others are stranded in Kagda District of Himachal Pradesh.

I also brought to the notice of Administration that these labourers and others have no access to food and other resources and they are exposed to many hardships of life.
