Soldier commits suicide in Jammu

Jammu, June 22: A soldier allegedly committed suicide inside a camp here early Monday, officials said.

Lance Naik Abhijeet Nandan was found hanging in his room at the Nagrota camp on the outskirts of Jammu, the officials said.

They said a police party visited the scene and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem.

The motive behind taking such an extreme step was not known immediately, the officials said, adding inquest proceedings are underway. ( PTI )
