Shabir Ahmed, General Secretary, said that despite the passage of eight months, they have not been paid the amount of Rs. 4.25 crore which is due to the district administration. He added that they were exhausted after visiting every official in the district and today were forced to protest in Srinagar.

After registering the protest here, we hope concerned authorities will repay the outstanding amount of poor drivers.

‘’If payment is not released within one week, sumo service in south Kashmir will be shut down”, he added.
