Srinagar | July, 17 : Paying tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family members, and his loyal companions, Former Union Minister and Congress leader Prof. Saifuddin Soz stated that by sacrificing his own life and that of his companions while fighting against the oppressors and enemies of Islam, the Imam-e-Aali Maqam taught us how to stand firm against oppression and uphold the truth.
According to a statement issued from party headquarters here, on Youm-e-Ashura Soz said, “Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family members, and the loyal companions sacrificed their lives in the Battle of Karbala but did not bow before the oppressors and enemies of Islam.
This most significant incident will always remind us that as Muslims, we must be submissive only to Almighty Allah’s will and take a firm stand against injustice, tyranny, and oppression, even if our lives are at stake.”
“Imam Hussain (RA) was the flag-bearer of truth and righteousness. He did not compromise his principles and refused to show allegiance to an oppressor, even though it could have saved his life and that of his companions. While doing so Imam-e-Aali Maqam has taught us how to be righteous, kind, patient, and brave while fighting against oppression,” he added.
