The promotions have been granted under service rules after a detailed review of service records, performance, and eligibility criteria, they said.

According to the promotion order, 36 Constables and 32 Followers, who have completed the requisite years of unblemished service, have been promoted.

A police spokesperson said the initiative reflects the Jammu & Kashmir Police’s commitment to recognizing sincere, long-standing service and ensuring timely career progression and welfare of its personnel.

Congratulating the promoted personnel, SSP Srinagar expressed hope that the move would further motivate them to discharge their duties with greater dedication, professionalism, and public service.

He reiterated that merit, discipline, and devotion to duty remain the guiding principles of the department, and that welfare and career advancement of police personnel will continue to receive due attention.
