Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Friday said that the spirit of Eid remains incomplete amid the suffering of people in conflict-hit regions, including Gaza, Lebanon and Iran.

In a message on the occasion of Eid, Karra said that while people celebrate the festival with their families, many across the world are grappling with loss, displacement and grief.

“My heart is torn between celebration and sorrow. While we sit in comfort, countless families are searching for their loved ones under debris and living through devastation,” he said.

He expressed solidarity with people affected by conflicts, particularly in Iran, and referred to the loss of its top leadership, saying their struggle and sacrifice should not be forgotten.

Karra said the festival should be observed with simplicity and empathy towards those who have lost everything.

“This Eid, I choose simplicity, not as a sacrifice but as a gesture of solidarity. Our joy remains incomplete in the face of such suffering,” he said.

He prayed for peace and relief for those affected, expressing hope that the occasion marks an end to ongoing hardships.

“May Allah bring peace to all and make this the last Eid marked by sorrow,” he added, while extending Eid greetings to the people.(KNS)
