Health, Education Minister Says Teachers Shape Children’s Education, Values and Overall Development

Srinagar, Sept 5: Minister for Health and Medical Education, School Education and Higher Education Sakina Itoo on Saturday extended greetings to teachers on Teachers’ Day, describing their role in shaping children’s lives as unparalleled.

Speaking on the occasion at SKICC Srinagar, as per news agency , Itoo said teachers shoulder a responsibility that goes far beyond imparting academic education, as they also help children learn basic life skills and values after they leave the care of their parents.

She said teachers guide children in learning how to communicate, behave and develop into responsible individuals, making their contribution to society exceptionally significant.

“Whatever is said for teachers is very little because their importance is more than anyone else’s,” the minister said, adding that Teachers’ Day is an important occasion to recognise and appreciate their contribution.

She also conveyed her greetings and best wishes to teachers on the occasion.
