Srinagar, Feb 17 (Kashmir Pen): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday attended the Regional Workshop on Tele-Law at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, along with Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted the transformative role of technology-enabled legal services in ensuring affordable, efficient, and timely access to justice, particularly for citizens residing in remote and underserved areas of Jammu & Kashmir.

He emphasized that initiatives such as Tele-Law are instrumental in strengthening grassroots justice delivery and reducing the burden of litigation. The programme, he said, reflects the government’s sustained commitment to citizen-centric, transparent, and inclusive governance.

The workshop focused on enhancing awareness and implementation of Tele-Law services, aimed at bridging gaps in legal accessibility through digital platforms and common service centres across the Union Territory | Kashmir Pen
