Budgam, Oct 2, 2017, Kashmir Pen: At a time when all the telecom service providers are busy in expanding their customer base in Kashmir Valley, subscribers in whole Beerwah Sub-Division of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district accuse these service providers of cheat and deceit saying that poor voice quality and slow internet speed have been irking them from past couple of months.

“Reporting a complaint to BSNL officials is useless as they never bother about customer care but we are surprised that even private service providers including Airtel, Aircel and Reliance Jio are not interested in addressing our problems,” said a group of subscribers from Beerwah to news agency CNS.

They said that due to weak mobile signals they are unable to make a call and when they are connected, poor voice quality spoils the sport.  “During rainy days and nights, even 2G service is not available, not to talk of 3G and 4G. A simple drizzle makes the mobile towers defunct. These towers are like Airtel dish antenna that stop working during rainy or windy hours,” they said.

They also alleged that employees at Airtel Stores refuse to link their mobile numbers with Adhar always citing problems in their computer system.
