Two week long Swacchita He Sewa campaign culminates in Kulgam.

Kulgam, Oct 2,2017, Kashmir Pen: A seminar was held in the premises of Mini Secretariat, Kulgam to conclude the 2-week long ‘Swacchita Hi Sewa’ campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Development Commissioner, Talat Parvez Rohella said that during the two-week long sanitation campaign,  we can witness a semblance of cleanliness and our endeavour should be to remain sensitive about the environment-related issues. The DDC highlighted the achievements on cleanliness made by different departments especially the municipalities.

Tarigami, who was Chief Guest on the occasion, said that already steps are afoot to make the Kulgam assembly segment first green constituency and initiatives such as these can mitigate the environment pollution to a large extent.

The Departments performing well during this campaign were awarded with certificates and mementos which among others included Executive Engineer  Irrigation Department Nazir Ahmad jaral, CEO Aharbal Development Authority MS Kakroo, Executive officer  Municipal Committee Kulgam Muhammad Afzal Wani, Deputy Chief Education Officer Bashir Ahmad Bhat Trali, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Muhammad Amin and Health Department, besides GDC Kulgam and other schools.

In addition, ADDC Khwaja Nazir, ADC Parvez Ahmad Raina and ACR Shahnawaz Ahmad Shah were also awarded for coordinating the efforts of various departments.
