On 11th October State Party President of Janata Dal (United) J&K G.M Shaheen condemning the growing incidents of mysterious braid chopping in valley, he termed the attack on ‘women dignity’ as unacceptable. He urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to nab the real culprits at the earliest.
He said that the “lovers or thieves were presumed as braid choppers” at several places but unfortunately the real culprits are roaming free. He termed these incidents as an insult to the respect of the womanhood and had also castigated the PDP-BJP coalition government for its utter failure. He appealing general public to cooperate with each other and solve those problems because the State government shows its utter failure to provide security to the people of the state. Shaheen said that the government of India is spending unnecessary funds like recently Adnan Sami’s concert held in SKICC Srinagar where crores have spended and get nothing. Unemployment is one of the core issues that our society is facing at present. We don’t have enough resources which we can use to generate employment. Both the youth and the government are responsible for this mess. There is no expansion in the industrial sector in our valley. Government is doing nothing for the jobless youth. Shaheen said if State government use these funds for making jobs to our unemployed youths, help of needful people and other essential services of the state. He also said a section of the country’s electronic media has been indulging in debates, discussions and reportage about the state and its people, most of which is far from reality. This section needs to be reminded that by resorting to this diatribe about the state, they are not doing any service to the country but further alienating the people of the state. The wrong portrayal of evolving situations in Kashmir has a disastrous effect on our tourism industry and also takes us further from peace Shaheen said.
