A significant portion of the discussion focused on the proposed amendments to the Tourist Act, which have been made available for public review by the Department of Tourism, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Several concerns regarding these amendments were raised, and it was requested that the review period be extended to allow stakeholders sufficient time to thoroughly read and deliberate on the proposed changes.

The Ecotourism Society of Kashmir extends its sincere gratitude to the Director of Tourism Kashmir for assuring his full support to the stakeholders in developing a policy that will be a crucial step towards facilitating ease of doing business in the region.
