Three persons were killed and one critically injured in two separate road accidents in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of north Kashmir on Wednesday.

An official said a car met with an accident at Stage 2 near TP under the jurisdiction of police station Kralpora in Kupwara district, resulting into death of two persons and serious injuries to third passenger.

The deceased were identified as Syed Khadam Hussain, son of Ghulam Sarvar Shah and Iftikhar Hussain, son of Syed Fazal Hussain. Both were residents of Chamkote Karnah.

The injured passenger, identified as Syed Fasil of Kandi Karnah, was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

In another accident, a 70-year-old man was crushed to death by a speeding bus on Sopore-bandipora highway at Botingoo. He was identified as Ghulam Muhammad Dobi, resident of Botingoo Sopore.

The bus driver fled from the spot after the accident. Police have registered cases into both the accidents, said an official.
