Srinagar, Jan 27: A tourist couple from Kolkata has alleged that their cab driver robbed them of their luggage in the Banihal area of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Monday.
According to officials, the driver allegedly fled with the couple’s belongings shortly after dropping them off. The accused has been identified as Amit, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who was driving a vehicle bearing registration number UP16 NT 6191.
One of the victims, identified as Uma from Kolkata, has appealed to the authorities for swift action to help recover their luggage.
