Srinagar Oct 13 (KNS): In a tragic incident on Sunday morning, two minor children lost their lives after being struck by a dumper vehicle in D.H. Pora, near the residence of former MLA Abdul Majeed Padder.

The victims, identified as 13-year-old Muntaha Aijaz, daughter of Aijaz Ahmad Wani, and 3-year-old Amman Aijaz, son of Aijaz Ahmad Hella, were severely injured in the accident. They were rushed to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) D.

H. Pora but were declared dead upon arrival.

Following the incident, the driver of the dumper fled the scene. However, local authorities have since apprehended the driver, and an FIR has been lodged to investigate the matter.

Authorities are continuing their efforts to ensure justice for the grieving families. (KNS)
