Will enhance honorarium of anganwadi workers once funds released: Govt

Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday said it is awaiting the state finance department’s nod for release of funds to enhance the honorarium of the Anganwadi workers and helpers.

“Matter regarding the enhancement of the honorarium of the Anganwadi workers/helpers has been taken up with the state finance department,” said the Social Welfare minister Sajad Lone while replying to a written question by a legislator.

“As and when the funds are received from the finance department, the honorarium of the Anganwadi workers/helpers shall be enhanced,” he said, according to the news agency.
