Faid Mushtaq Waza son of Mushtaq Ahmad Waza, hailing from Khanyar area of Srinagar district, has reportedly joined militancy after a picture of him with AK-47 has gone viral. He has been identified as Faid Mushtaq Waza, a LeT militant.

A senior Police official told news agency that parents of Faid Mushtaq have lodged a missing report in Police station Khanyar yesterday and it is premature to say whether he has joined or not. “We are ascertaining the authenticity of the picture which has gone viral,” the official said.

Also, a picture of another youth, Rouf Ahmad Khanday Son of Bashir Ahmad Khanday resident of Dehruna village of Dooru in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district holding AK rifle has gone viral. “We are investigating the authenticity of the picture,” a police officer from Anantnag said.
