Jammu, Dec 4 : Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General, Armed J&K, on Thursday paid an official visit to the JKAP 8th Battalion at Miran Sahib, Jammu to review the unit’s overall functioning, operational preparedness, and administrative efficiency. He was accompanied by Sh. Sameer Sharma, IPS, DIG Armed Jammu.
As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Upon his arrival at the battalion headquarters, the ADG Armed was accorded a ceremonial welcome by Sh. Suram Singh, SSP, Commandant JKAP 8th Battalion, along with other senior officers. A well-presented guard of honour showcased the professionalism, discipline, and high morale of the unit.
During the visit, the ADG Armed paid homage at the Martyrs’ Gallery and saluted the supreme sacrifices of the brave personnel.
He also inspected the CCTV monitoring system and other upgraded unit establishments aimed at improving the working and living conditions of officers and jawans. The ADG appreciated the efforts of the battalion leadership for enhancing capabilities and ensuring better service delivery.
Later, Sh. Jain conducted a darbar with officers and jawans, where he patiently listened to their issues, suggestions, and welfare concerns. He assured all ranks that the department remains committed to strengthening welfare measures, upgrading infrastructure, and enhancing operational readiness. He emphasized that discipline, professionalism, and physical fitness remain the core pillars of policing.
ADG Armed commended the role of unit personnel in performing various crucial duties and encouraged them to continue their service with the same commitment and enthusiasm.
