After making his presence felt in winter capital Jammu and streamlining the city’s traffic mess, Inspector General of Police (Traffic) Basant Rath has made his presence felt in Srinagar.
The top cop known for his maverick style of streamlining traffic and acting against traffic rule violators on Thursday made his staff tow a vehicle of Kothibagh police station that was parked at a wrong place.
The sight baffled many onlookers and some people were seen taking photographs and videos besides uploading them on social media.
The video and photographs of police vehicle towed by traffic department instantly went viral on social media with many commenting that “Rath effect has final arrived in Kashmir”.
Besides the netizens, Rath also posted the picture on his Twitter account with a caption: “Equality before law, ladies and gentlemen.”
