IUST organises workshop on Research Prospects in Computer Science

Awantipora, June 26: The Department of Computer Science at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized a one-day workshop titled “Research Prospects in Computer Science” on Wednesday with experts from IUST and Thapar University served as the resource persons for the workshop.
The workshop featured a hands-on technical session by Prof. P.S. Rana from Tappar University, while Dr. Mukesh Singh delivered an insightful session on the art and science of research grant writing. Dr. Kaiser Javeed, Dean School of Engineering and Technology stated that the aim of the workshop was to enhance skills in effective research proposal writing and to explore advancements in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
The workshop witnessed active participation from research scholars, faculty members, and students. Dr. Javaid Iqbal, Director of DITSS, delivered the inaugural address. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shabana Nargis.
