Hurriyat (M) chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is scheduled to lead Friday prayers after eight weeks after his release from 57-day house arrest earlier in the day.

A spokesman of the outfit said that Mirwaiz was released from detention at his Nigeen residence today.

He will lead the congregational weekly prayers at Jamia today after eight weeks.
