Jammu, Jun 18 : One more government employee was on Wednesday terminated from service for his alleged involvement in terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha ordered the dismissal of Mohammad Shafi, posted as inspector in Power Development Department (PDD), with immediate effect, the officials said.

The LG administration has so far terminated the services of around 90 government employees who were found to be working for millitant groups.

The officials said 51-year-old Shafi, a resident of Arwani village of Bijbehara, was named in three FIR registered between 2017 and 2018 under various sections of Ranbir Penal Code and Arms Act at police station Bijbehara.

He was the ninth government employee dismissed from service this year. While the LG terminated the services of five government employees in January, three more were sacked in March. ( PTI )
