Srinagar, June 24 : A group alleged local hackers managed to access the official website of Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science and Technology Srinagar, and posted messages in support of freedom for Kashmir on Saturday.
Even after hacking, the website was not taken off for hours together. Sources said that University authorities took the website off and replaced the pro-freedom Kashmir messages with ‘maintenance’ sign only after some users informed the officials.
The hacking was done mainly with the purpose of posting messages advocating freedom for Kashmir.
“We want Freedom, I am a Kashmiri, its my crime….the pro-Kashmir freedom slogans in 20 lines of the website screen had been posted in green colour. (CNS)
