Bandipora, June 16: Some parts of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district observed a complete shutdown against the killing of a youth in Indian Forces firing in Srinagar city.
On Thursday evening, during clashes, a 22-year-old Bandipora youth Naseer Ahmad Sheikh was killed after Indian Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel opened fire to disperse protesters who pelted them with stones in Rangreth area of Srinagar city.
The injured youth succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on Thursday night. A large number of mourners participated in the last rites of the slain youth. The youth was laid to rest amid pro-freedom slogans at his native Ashtengoo village.
Witnesses said that mourners chanted massive pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
